RACING STRIPES tells the tale of a baby Zebra called Stripes who grows up on the Walsh Farm and dreams of being a prize-winning racehorse. Stripes is taken under the wing of Channing Walsh, the farmer's daughter who has the same aspiration as her new pet - to ride in the big race.
Stripes and his new barnyard buddies: Tucker (Dustin Hoffman), the sarcastic Shetland Pony, Franny (Whoopi Goldberg), the opinionated goat who looks after Stripes as if he was her own kid, the Pelican named Goose (Joe Pantoliano), the wise-cracking hit bird who is a real chicken!, Reggie (Jeff Foxworthy), the farm's alarm cockerel and Lightning (Snoop Dogg), a lazy dog whose name is the only energetic thing about him - need to overcome the problem of his appearance and why the other horses treat him as an outcast.
When pure pedigree racehorse Trenton's Pride (Joshua Jackson) and his wicked father Sir Trenton (Patrick Stewart) tell Stripes that he is a Zebra and not a horse this destroys his self-confidence and his dream.
With the support of fine-looking filly Sandy (Mandy Moore) and the helpful hungry horseflies Buzz and Scuzz (Steve Harvey and David Spade) along with the rest of his farmyard friends Stripes overcomes his fears, but will he earn his RACING STRIPES?
