nosferatu while being a fairly straight forward adaptation of bram stoker's classic novel dracula was so much more, its directional style, lighting, locations, and above all the truly unworldly figure of count orlok the vampire all contributed to make this one of the greatest and definitive vampire films ever made. its story, which centres on the relationship between the once virginal and pure nina and the vampire whose seduces and corrupts her leading to her eventual demise, laid the foundations for the vampire films of the future. this version is one of many different versions of the film that now exist.
