this documentary is about a tour that took place from april 1st to may 2nd of 2004. the bands were against me!, planes mistaken for stars, and no choice.
i'm not going to make any apologies, or try to explain any decisions or actions. it is what it is, an accurate representation of one month in time. one month on tour, one month driving around the country playing rock and roll with some really good friends, one month drunk. i'm sure we say some stupid shit, i'm sure we do some stupid shit, and i'd like to think that maybe somehow, in some way, there were moments of brilliance and beauty in that. to be honest i don't really care if anyone else can see that in this, i can.
the highs and the lows, the good shows and the bad, and the small stuff that happens along the way that you all too often forget about. i'm a very thankful person for being able to be a part of something like this, for being able to have the friends i have, and to see the country this way.
so as i said, this isn't meant to be a representation of who we are as people. just who we were right then. i hope it stands for what it is, a bunch of people having a really really good time. thanks for watching.
