on sept 13th 2002 a murder and hate crime was committed in reims, france. three skinheads hid in the park with the intention to do an arab. instead they came across a gay man, francois chenu who questioned their courage. francois was then beaten unconscious and his body thrown into a nearby pond where he drowned. the gang is known to the police and is quickly caught. details of the crime are presented, and the focus of the documentary is it's aftermath and the family's efforts to find a way of coping with the loss of their beloved son and brother.
