5 million years from now the Earth is in the last throws of the current ice age. Animals have learned to adapt to a world where humans are extinct and the polar ice caps stretch as far as Paris in the north and Buenos Aries in the south. 100 million years on and giant volcanoes belch out greenhouse gasses turning the Earth into a hothouse - sweltering, steamy, and wet. Animals have adapted to the damp warmth, insects grow huge and the world's biggest creatures walk the earth. Then, after the last great mass extinction, 200 million years from now, the earths landmass has drifted together forming one giant super-continent where the few remaining species, free from old pressures and competition, have evolved into strange and bizarre creatures - beyond our wildest imagination!
