The Young Bruce Lee is granted true authenticity with it's archive of real childhood footage of Bruce Lee, in four of his early Hong Kong movies he had featured in-between 1947-1959, these are 'Kid Cheung' (The Kid), 'Bad Boy' (Blame It On Father), 'Carnival' (Love) and 'Orphan Sam' (An Orphan's Tragedy).

The early footage offers a rare glimpse into Bruce's early movies which helped shape a legend, interspersed within this childhood footage, is the Bruce Lee clone, Bruce Li (Ho Chun Dao), arguably the best of the clone actors and fills in gaps to show incidents that happen in the king of kung fu's life.

This DVD also contains fantastic newsreel footage showing Bruce Lee attending the 'Wrap Party', for Bruce Lee's friend, Unicorn Chan's movie release of Fist Of The Unicorn. Unicorn also appears in certain scenes in the footage from Bad Boy (Blame It On Father) which is contained within this movie, confirming the long history the two men enjoyed. Also in this early Bio/Documentary are rare newsreels of the sad and moving footage of Bruce Lee's Hong Kong funeral. The Young Bruce Lee gives a rare opportunity to learn more about the man, who by some, said he was only a China martial artist and couldn't act, yet he had made more dram movies in Hong Kong than most adult Hollywood actors.
